The Bulletin: AT LEAST RIDE IT YOU ASSHOLE

Another new month, another new batch of updates in the world of games. Let’s see what’s been brewing in this week’s bulletin!

New information about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet came out in a Pokémon Presents broadcast this week. The Paldea region will be host to new regional variants, such as a poison-type Wooper, new Pokémon like the a-dough-rable Fidough and fierce Cetitan, and an entirely new gameplay mechanic in the Terastallizing feature unique to the region. Also included in the presentation was information regarding updates to the mobile games in the series like Go, Masters, and Cafe Mix, along with updates to the Pokémon World Championships to be held in London later this month. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be releasing later this year on Friday, November 18th.

Crypt of the Necrodancer emerges from its slumber with new content!  Crypt of the Necrodancer: SYNCHRONY is now available in early access on Steam offering online co-op and multiplayer, new characters, and complete mod support. Also announced is a new project from the team in the form of Rift of the Necrodancer, further details to be released at a later date.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn has been announced for later this year on November 11th coming to Switch, Steam, and both Ps4 and Ps5. The remake will feature “enhanced” graphics and sounds among other changes to the 2010 PSP remake of 1995’s Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.

Multiversus will be delaying its first season while currently still in open beta. Originally slated for a full release on August 9th, this delay also means the release of Rick and Morty (separate) from Rick and Morty will be delayed, the official Twitter confirming Morty’s addition to the roster pushed back depending on the game’s own release. For a week already rife with baffling decisions surrounding the Warner Bros. associated IPs, fans of the game can at least still access the open beta for the time being.

Brain geniuses rejoice as TwitchCon promotes zero COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements. At a time where information about spread and infection rates feels buried because “it’s getting old,” Twitch defaulting to the guidelines of its host city of San Diego leaves multiple streamers and creators to speak out and force the company to give a semblance of a shit about hosting a large event in a closed space this October. As always make sure to get vaccinated, get boosted when you can, and also just keep that mask life up since it also helps reduce the usual post-con illness, not just the ‘rona.
