Hey there, I’m Rosarie, and you may not know me now but you’ll be getting to know me a lot more in the near future. The reason? I’m comin’ on as a new Chooch hire!
I helped out around E3 when Scott asked if I could lend a hand doing those hard and fast presser news bursts, and apparently I did good enough to stick around as a full time member.
I’m a sick but busy girl who lives in the terrible weather roulette that is New England, and while I’d like the temperature to be a little bit more reasonable, I’ll deal with it for all this delicious seafood (and no sales tax on games). Speaking of those games, I’m a big fan of them, and not just because of the whole non-salestax thing I said earlier.
My main areas of expertise are those good old fashioned character action games like your Bayonetta or Devil May Cry, as well as RPGs, like Final Fantasy or Shin Megami Tensei (and Neptunia…). My constant poison has been FFXIV which I have a consistent love/hate (but mostly love!) relationship with. I pretty much try to play anything I can though, since broadening your horizons is the best way to appreciate the different things games can do in my book.
I started gaming with the Sega Genesis which is not a console I respect much at all anymore but hey, it let me play Sonic and that’s what matters in the end really. Since then I’ve tried to keep up with all the consoles, even though the only real exclusives I care about have been from Nintendo (though we’ll see how long that continues post-Paper Mario killing).
The reason I’ve always been so about these video games is the same reason games are games: interactivity. Its always been fascinating to me the way people can play through the same game but get both completely different messages, and completely unique experiences every time. From weird bugs to cool executions, the experience becomes yours and no one else’s and I just think that’s real neat.
Who knows what ridiculous things I’ll write about here but hey, I’m happy its here with some real cool people.
