Humble Bundle and Nintendo Come Together for Humble “Nindie” Bundle
Two great tastes that taste great together!

After years of bringing people collections of cool PC and Mobile games at choose-your-own prices for charity, Humble Bundle is  offering console games for the first time. Teaming up with Nintendo, the group is now offering the Humble Nindie Bundle, a collection of games for both Wii U and 3DS. This is a bold step for both Nintendo and the Humble team, with a wide range of indie games accross a wide variety of genres being offered. As usual, you can choose how much you want to pay and how your money is distributed. The charity tied to this special bundle is, a non-profit focused on increasing young people’s involement in computer science by increasing its accessibility in more schools.

The games you get at the bundle’s lowest level are Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition on Wii U, Woah Dave! on 3DS, and Mighty Switch Force on 3DS. If you pay more than the average price, you’ll also receive The Fall on Wii U, OlliOlli on Wii U and 3DS, and all four episodes of Moon Chronicles on 3DS. If you pay $10 or more, you’ll get Stealth Inc. 2 on Wii U and SteamWorld Dig on Wii U and 3DS. Like most other bundles, more games will apparently be “coming soon” for those who pay more than the average price.

While the Humble Nindie Bundle is exciting and offers a lot of good games, it’s also region locked. This means that if you live anywhere that isn’t in North, Central, or South America (except for Brazil), you’re out of luck on this one. For those of you who aren’t hindered by that, the bundle is on sale right now, and will be available for purchase until June 9th.

I immediately purchased this bundle upon learning about it. I know I’m not the only person who has been hoping to see Humble Bundles feature games on home consoles and handheld. While the region-locking is unfortunate, this is still an exciting first step and hopefully just the first of many console-based bundles to come.
