I spent the whole time editing this podcast on a yoga ball. So Gabe, I get you.
On April 1st, Conan Exiles developer Funcom teased a stick figure hack-and-slash styled game that seemed like a silly joke but also excited fans of the series as the tiny-chibi art style inspired gritty Conan fans. However, today on the E3 stage during the PC Gaming Show, Funcom announced a full lineup of games ending with announcing Mighty Kingdom developing their joke!
Mutant Year Zero: Seed of Evil will be coming out July 30th, 2019 for every console. It’s got an Xcom-type strategy vibe and your best friend is my Seattle Mariners baseball mascot: The Mariners Moose. So as far as the Mariner’s 2019 season goes, the post-apocalypse is pretty apt.
Extremely normal Age Of Empires-styled Real Time Strategy game Conan Unconquered came out on my birthday two weeks ago, May 29th, and is available on PC. May nobody conquer my boy Conan on my birthday.
Atmospheric 1st-person puzzle-adventure game Moons of Madness is releasing on Halloween this year, and there is a crowbar in it. You’ll be in space, there are runes, and twisty tentacle vines stalking you. The moon’s haunted. *cocks gun* THE MOON IS HAUNTED.
Finally, Conan Chop Chop is a cute roguelike coming out September 3rd, 2019 where you can crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their tiny stick-figured chibi women in a bite-sized party format. What is best in life? A four-player co-op rogue-lite where you hack-and-slash your way through enemies, collect chests full of gold, and joyously pillage the cutesy Zelda-styled game world.
This game is a joke, and I’m here for it.
